Andrade: Andrade is the location of the Port of Entry into the United States from Los Algodones, Mexico. The border station is located within the boundaries of the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation on property belonging to the Quechan Tribe just west of the Alamo Canal and the Colorado River.This land port of entry is used primarily by pedestrians from the United States wishing to shop or avail themselves of medical services in Algondones. The Quechan Tribe maintains a large parking lot on the United States side that serves this trade.

Dateland: Dateland is another of the original water stops for the railroads steam driven locomotives. Dateland's claim to fame is the Medjool Date. The Dateland Palms Restaurant features the Medjool Date on their menu.

Historic Downtown Yuma is often overlooked by Yuma visitors and residents. A morning or afternoon can be pleasurably spent exploring the many shops & dining options offered in the area. This area is used for street fairs and musical events throughout the year. Located in the area surrounding First Street and Main Avenue Historic Downtown Yuma is with walking distance of several Yuma area Attractions. Historic Downtown Yuma is now open to vehicular traffic but is best experienced by parking the car and enjoying a leisurely stroll. There are many surprises to be found in the courtyards and patios along main street.

Hyder: Hyder is small farming community located 16 miles Northeast of Dateland near the border of Yuma and Maricopa counties. During World War II, troops used the area as a desert training camp. Camp Horn and Camp Hyder were but two of the many camps that were part of the Desert Training Center/California-Arizona Maneuver Area (CAMA).

Los Algodones offers a variety of local merchants and restaurants to choose from to enhance your Mexican adventure. The residents and visitors of Yuma also find that the health care providers offer an affordable alternative to the high costs seen for health care on the U.S. side of the border. The parking lots on the U.S. side of the border in Andrade California allow visitors to walk in to this town and return without the hassle of bringing your car back into the States.

Marine Corp Air Station Yuma: From the humble beginnings as Fly Field in 1928, the Yuma Army Air Base was erected in 1943. Deactivated at the end of WWII, the Air Force took over in 1951 calling it first the Yuma Air Base, and later renaming it as Vincent Air Force Base in 1956. The Navy took over the base in 1959 as the Marine Corps Auxiliary Air Station, changing to a full fledged Marine Corps Air Station in 1962. Today MCAS Yuma is home to many Marines and their families. Sharing runways with the Yuma County International Airport, MCAS Yuma is the location of the Annual Yuma Air Show.

Martinez Lake: Martinez Lake is a resort area located near the original townsite of Castle Dome Landing. There are two established resorts that offer marinas, cafes, campgrounds, and other amenities. Many houses are found on the shores of Fishers Lagoon and Martinez Lake. The Marine Corp maintains a recreational area there as well. The Imperial Wildlife Refuge Visitors Center is found nearby.
Anglers will find many opportunities for fishing at Martinez Lake. There are many Bass fishing tournaments held in the area each year. The lakes and backwaters offer the chance to get away from the crowds and drop a line in the water. The many private docks are perfect for kids to fish.

Roll: When Southern Pacific Railroad built a station here, they named it after local resident John Roll. This farming community once served as a prisoner of war camp during World War II.

San Luis: San Luis is a small community of 20,000 residents located 27 miles southwest of Yuma. First established with the opening of the U.S. Port of Entry in 1930. With a variety of small businesses located on the U.S. side of the border, San Luis offers access to sister city San Luis Rio Colorado in Sonora Mexico.

Somerton: Somerton was established in 1898 and incorporated in 1918. Early settlers found that the titled land they had bought was based on fraudulent land grant. The settlers had to rebuy their land in 1898 for $1.25 an acre. Somerton is located 12 Miles South of Yuma.

Walters Camp: Walters Camp is a very small community located on a Colorado River backwater that once was the main river channel. Found midway on the river between Blythe and Martinez Lake, Walters Camp is surrounded by the Cibola Wildlife Refuge. There is a small store, cantina, and gas dock.

Yuma Proving Ground: YPG is a test facility for the U.S. Army. A huge variety of weapon systems and munitions are tested. The proving ground is Yuma County's largest single employer of civilians and the county's primary high technology workplace. The proving ground's land mass amounts to about 20 percent of Yuma County. Approximately 450 people reside in housing at the proving ground.
Each winter the U.S. Army Parachute Team, The Golden Knights come to YPG for annual training.
